The main reasons for the loss are, in order:
- The Vikings inability to secure home field, despite multiple opportunities to do so. If yesterday's game was played at the Metrodome, the Vikes win in a rout.
- 12 men in the huddle, coming out of a time out. A coach somewhere needs to be fired for that.
- Two fumbles in the red zone. If just one of those turns into a field goal, overtime never happens.
- Limited pressure on Brees by our defense.
So once again, like so many times before, the Vikings faithful are left wanting.
Want all you want, just don't blame Favre.
Thank you for saying it isn't entirely Brett's fault. He will take the blame as always and he will be ridiculed and laughed but those if us who are Brett fans with total sincerity know that he plays with his heart and soul. Just bring him back next year. Here's to you Brett. And, by-the-way, you can tell Troy Aikman that he can quite taking-pots and making snide remarks about Brett. I once was an Troy fan but not any more after his snide remarks even at the last moment before closing off the game.
ReplyDeleteAnon,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stoping by and for the post. Agree 100% on your take on Aikman. Thought his insights on the "driving the QB to the turf" personal foul in particular to be almost offensive commentary. He couldn't have been more wrong.
