As the dog and I headed out to get the paper yesterday morning,
I noticed I was able to see my breath in the chill morning air.
It was that cold, and it felt like fall.
It got me motivated to go through my gear and get things organized for
the impending seasons.
While it may not
look like it from this photo, I've actually culled things down quite a
bit. Two career stops with outdoor
retailers exploded my personal inventory, and I'm now far enough removed from
those joyous days that older gear is getting tossed at a rate much higher than
the new gear that is coming in.
Given
the work the yellow dog and I did today, I'm calling myself ready to go. Now I just need some help from the calendar
and the birds.
Bring on the fall.
